Education [Early Childhood Centres] Regulations 2008 Subpart 2 47 (1) Rationale Our Quality Teaching Policy involves developing confidence and knowledge in our teachers so that they are better equipped to fulfil our Centre Kaupapa, Job descriptions, legislative requirements, and the recertification of their Teaching Practice Certificate. Quality learning cycles will foster an environment for inclusive, collaborative teacher learning, advancing their understanding of the relationship between their professional practice and outcomes for learners/akonga. Objectives The Directors of Early Childhood on Stafford are committed to ensure that all Teachers are: • Actively involved in ongoing training and development. This includes but is not limited to course participation (online and/or in person), centre visits, readings, discussions, and other means determined to build knowledge skills and pedagogical understandings

• Given both formal and informal opportunities for feedback on their professional practice and fulfillment of centre goals and aspirations

Learning Requirements • All employees will be active participants in Quality Learning Cycles

• Teachers will meet with their designated collaborator at least 6 times per year

• Meeting discussion points and any future actions will be documented on their Interlead journal

• The Directors/Manager will ensure that money is available for supporting the negotiated goals to enhance our teachers professional growth and development.

Outcome Our teachers will develop their knowledge and skills to ensure they are growing as teachers and thus allowing Early Childhood on Stafford meets its stated goals and objectives.
